FAQS

Curious about my work and the services I offer? Let me answer a few of the most commonly asked questions I’ve received…

  • I have expertise and experience across a range of legal services, including property and development, business and commercial, succession planning, deceased estates and elder law. You can learn more about how I can help you here

  • I’ve spent my career training and working in all specialities of New Zealand law so that you don’t have to. When you’re dealing with specialist issues like buying and selling property, or creating a will, you want to make sure every detail has been carefully considered, which is where I come in. I see my role as taking the hassle out of your business or personal life, and putting your mind at ease through detailed legal support.

  • That’s okay! It’s common to not quite know what legal support you need. The best thing we can do is have a chat. I’d love to hear from you via email here, or over the phone at 04 3877831.

  • I’ve worked in New Zealand law for over 30 years, with experience in government, the courts, and private practice. As my life has changed over the years, becoming a mother, and then an empty nester, I am now out on my own, having started Ramona Rasch Law on 1 April 2021.

  • When we begin working together, we’ll work out how long this process may take, and arrange check-in points. Depending on your needs, this may be over the phone, via email or in person. Communication is key, and you can always email or call with any questions you may have.

  • It really depends on your situation and your needs, and the best way to figure that out is to have a kōrero to talk through the details, and so I can ask you some questions.

  • For our first discussion, the most important things to figure out are whether I am the right lawyer to help you out, and that we’re on the same page in terms of what may or may not be involved. If the fit isn’t right, I will do my best to refer you on to another lawyer to best suit your situation. This first discussion is usually no longer than 30 minutes, and there is no charge.

  • My Kilbirnie office is open Monday to Friday. If you contact me outside of these hours, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can within business hours.

  • Because every case is different, the best thing we can do is talk about what you need. I’d love to hear from you to set up a consultation via email here, or over the phone at 04 3877831.

  • It is important that you bring proof of who you are – such as your current PASSPORT OR DRIVERS LICENCE. It is always a good idea to bring any relevant paperwork which you have.

  • Without any details about your legal needs, it is impossible to know. At our first meeting, I’ll be able to give you an idea of a potential time frame.
